Rachel Sadler, who will be joining the Arcadia Team this summer, just recently completed her proposal for the annual Moore College of Art & Design Travel Fellowship. Her proposal is centered around a trip to Guatemala to learn more about their traditional textiles which are specific to each region. She created a line that combines the ancient Guatemalan weaving techniques with new age bathing suit designs.
I recently saw her installation in the Goldie Paley Gallery at Moore and I was blown away! They are truly awe inspiring designs. It is a must see, if you are in the Philadelphia area, definitely stop by the exhibition.
