Summer Looks: Weekend Picks

Here are some of my favorite looks for this weekend in the heat! Trying to stay cool and look good simultaneously, is a hard task! Stop by Arcadia and try out some of these looks to conquer the hot summer sun!

Pair this summer dress with cute sandals and some blue or coral bangles to look fun and flirty in the sun! 

Pair this crop top with this skater skirt or with some jean shorts and you will be ready to beat the heat! Try this skirt with a white or black shirt and some cute boots or sandals! 

This dress is perfect to take you from day to night. Wear a pair of black sandals during the day and change to heels or wedges and add a red clutch for dinner or drinks with friends at night!

Staying Cool on Hot Summer Days

I am always trying to stay cool during these long hot summer days. I have been trying to stay in AC, but sometimes  I get restless and do not know what else to do with myself! So I decided to do a little research on  ways to stay cool and energized!

Here are some easy tips that can help us stay cooler!

Avoid foods that are high in protein, which increases metabolic heat.
Try to eat small meals instead of large ones. Eat salads, veggies, fruit, fish, and any other light dish!

Eat spicy food!
It might sound crazy cause spice an make our body produce sweat, but curries and chillies can stimulate heat receptors in the mouth. It enhances circulation and causes sweating, which cools the body down!

Moisturize with cooling aloe vera aftersun product.
Use in both he morning and night, it will help lower your skin temperature. Try and keep an aloe plant in your house too! It is always nice too have for after sun care. It is also has great benefits to our skin. it helps fight bacteria and helps rebuild new tissue. It is a great natural anti-wrinkle remedy!

Drink chrysanthemum tea.
It is said to be a cooling herb which clears the head and calms the nerves.

Sit back, close your eyes and picture snow. Research has shown that the body reacts to these daydreams, reducing its overall temperature!
