Hot Spot: Iceland

While Arcadia was closed for Summer vacation, I was lucky enough to squeeze in a trip Europe. I visited Iceland, which is unlike anyplace I have ever seen. I felt like I was on the moon. Iceland is volcanically and geologically active. It is located on both the Iceland Hotspot and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, which runs right through it. Iceland is very "green", both in landscape and way of life. There is widespread availability of geothermal power, and the harnessing of many rivers and waterfalls for hydroelectricity.

Check out some pictures from my trip:

Big Geysir
Little Geysir

If you ever get a chance to visit Iceland, I highly suggest it!
