Fall Fun Around Philly

If you don't know already from just reading this blog, Fall is my FAVORITE season. One of the reasons I love it oh-so-much, besides the milder temps and no humidity, is it's prime time for pumpkin and apple picking!

So pull on your Lujan Riding boots from DV by Dolce Vita and throw on the Keanu Open Cardigan from BB Dakota and support these great local farms this October!

Shady Brook Farm: Now through October 31st, catch the  Pumpkin Fest!  Shady Brook Farm in Yardley is harvest central, with wagon rides, pick-your-own pumpkins and apples, giant corn maze and face painting.

Linvilla Orchards: Don't miss the  Pumpkin Land Harvest Festival, now through November 4th! Each month of the festival has its own event calendar of fall-centric activities. But throughout the fest, you’ll find displays of giant, ornate scarecrows and piles upon piles of pumpkins. Note: Be sure to check out the Autumn Moon Hayrides featuring marshmallow roasting and apple cider.

Milky Way Farm: Located in beautiful Chester Springs, PA, this family-owned farm boasts a ten acre pumpkin patch. Free weekend hayrides up to the pumpkin patch give visitors an educational overview of a working farm. After you pick out your pumpkins, be sure to stop and see the farm animals and then visit the on-site creamery, which features ice cream flavors homemade on site using the milk from Milky Way farm's cows. YUM.

Merrymead Farm: Over in the Lansdale area, Merrymead Farm is the place to go. This family owned farm is known for their annual storytelling and lighting of "The Great Pumpkin". They also have hayrides and a five acre cornfield maze. Fall harvest weekends include tractor and wagon rides around the farm, a 700 foot cornstalk tunnel, and plenty of children's games and activities.

Arielle
