So yeah, U2 front man, Bono, & his beautiful wife, Ali Hewson, are the names behind the popular socially conscious line Edun. And yes, the company is now partly owned by LVMH Group, which if you have recently flipped through any fashion magazine in the past few months it would be hard to miss the ads of the two carrying Louis Vuitton luggage for LV's "Core Vaules" campaign. So you are probably asking yourself "why am I reading about this powerful couple & their commercialized brand on a blog that supports local & independent designers & businesses?" Well, I am posting about Edun's Spring Collection because it is hard to deny that the collection is anything less than beautiful & it is an added bonus that the line is socially responsible. The line has definitely made a positive turnaround sense under the eye of Paris-based designer Sharon Wauchob, who has served as Edun’s creative director for the past two seasons. She has given the line a high-style look that is easy to incorporate into your wardrobe, with very wearable pieces & overall a pretty cool spring collection.
So whether you hate or love U2, Bono, Louis Vuitton or Bernard Arnault, I think all of us fashionable babes out there can agree that Edun's Spring Collection is pretty kick ass.
